Gmail Desktop Notification

Gmail Desktop notification is the feature of Google Chrome which displays notification messages when you get a new message. The nice thing is that the notifications are displayed even when you're visiting a different site or the Chrome window is minimized. If you are online in Google chat with Gmail, then this notification will alert you when someone tries to talk you in chat. So you are not going to miss any chat while you are not looking at your Gmail.

Note: Desktop notification only works when you use Google Chrome Web browser. Desktop notifications won't appear if you don't have Gmail open on any Google Chrome browser pages, or are signed out of Gmail. So you will need to be login into your Gmail account in Google Chrome browser to use this feature.
