Hide Facebook Timeline, Remove Facebook Timeline

Facebook time line is the new Facebook profiles. But there are many people who do not like these profiles. I also got many emails of readers regarding a post which tells how to remove Facebook timeline or how to hide Facebook timeline. Here I want to say  that Facebook has rolled out time line as a new feature which is not optional. So you will have to use it. There is no way given to go back to the older profile. But there are few tricks which can help users to hide or remove timeline profile. All those tricks are browser specific which involves changing in user-agent. So it seems bit difficult to apply. 

In this post, I am writing an easy way to remove timeline or hide timeline in Google Chrome web browser.

Google Chrome has a nice and simple way to hide time line and get back to the old facebook profiles. You need to install a TimelineRemove extension in Google Chrome. This nice Google Chrome Extension will restore classic look in your Facebook profile without changing the timeline behaviour for other visitors of your Facebook profile. It means other users will see timeline but for you, timeline does not exists on Facebook for any user. This extension also allow users to switch between older Facebook profiles and timeline in a matter of click.

First of install the TimelineRemove extension in your Google Chrome browser. After the installation, it will automatically disable timeline feature on Facebook. You will be able to see instant effect of this extension. Go to profile of any Facebook users. You will only see classic Facebook profile in place of new Timeline profile of users.

It also adds a toggle button next to URL bar. With this button, you can switch between classic Facebook profile and timeline. Click this button and the Status will be displayed in a pop-up. Click the Timeline Remove option to enable or disable it.

This is really nice extension to change the facebook look to older profiles. And there is no issue with the extension. Install it and enjoy.

I think the problem of users have been solved now. Now they can easily hide timeline or remove timeline on their browser and enjoy Facebook.
