Enable registry editor disabled by virus

Registry Editor is an important feature of windows which allows us to do some specific windows settings which are not available as option. There are many computer tricks for improving performance of windows and networks are related to windows registry. It needs registry editing.

There are many viruses which disable registry editing of your windows. And when you try to edit registry you get a message that "Registry editor has been disabled by your administrator". This is a bad situation because we can not edit our registry and many tasks needs registry editing.


This can be solved by taking these two simple steps. Both commands uses registry editing but in different way.

Step1: Restart your computer in safe mode and open cmd and type following command
reg delete HKCU\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\system /v "DisableRegistryTools"
it will ask you for(Y/N)?  typeY.

Step2.: Run this another command:     run HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\system /v "DisableRegistryTools"

This will enable your registry editor
