Yahoo has also jumped into the browser's market with its new mobile browser Axis. This mobile browser is available for iPhone and iPad from Apple App Store. For desktops, it is available as a plug-in for IE, Safari, Chrome and Firefox.

According to Ethan Batraski, head of product for the Search Innovation Group at Yahoo, this mobile browser is not only a browser. It is a seach tool with in-built browser. This search tool is different from the search engine. It does not shows the results in the form of links. When you will search something with this, 80 perecent of time you will 80 percent of time, you will see horizontal display of Web page thumbnails. Other 20 percent of time  you get text boxes with results in them. By showing results in the form of thumbnails, it aims to improve user experience and make the surfing fast.

This browser also took social sharing seriously and added a feature to share web pages with friends. Users can share any web page with their friends on Twitter, email or Pinterest. But there is no option to share pages on Facebook which seems something srange with the browser.
This time the browser is only available for iOS platform, but company is working on Android, windows phone and metro version of the browser. Metro version of the browser will be used in the windows phone 8 mobile operating system.

Mobile browser is not a new concept, but the way it is trying to change the search is different step in the search market. This new concept makes it a strong mobile product with new concept of search.
