Google talk lab edition is not a new release or any new build of Google Talk instant messaging client. It's an older version but not so famous. In this post, i want to tell my readers about some nice features of this another instant messaging client of Google.
This version of Gtalk supports graphical smilies as in orkut and gmail chat. But Google talk only support text based smileys.
The application also comes with new desktop notifications from Calendar, Orkut, and Gmail. The user interface features some changes and now it looks more pleasant to the eyes.
The most important feature of this instant messaging software is that it allows users to go invisible on chat as they can do in Gmail, Orkut or other web based chat system of Google. But we know that Gtalk do not have this kind of feature. If we want to go invisible we have to signout from Gtalk and use Gmail or orkut chat.
But i think this build have some connectivity issues. As i have experienced, it takes too much time to login with gmail id. If speed is slow then it only show connecting but never connect. But for people having better internet connection, this can not be a problem. So enjoy a new way of instant messaging with Google Talk labs edition
